Delete your Rio account

You can delete your account yourself, from the web or from the Rio app. You do not need to contact us, and there is no waiting list.

On the web

  1. Sign in and open your profile.
  2. Scroll to Delete account and choose Delete my account.
  3. Type your account email address to confirm, then confirm the deletion.

In the app

  1. Open More, then Profile.
  2. Choose Delete account.
  3. Type your account email address to confirm, then confirm the deletion.

What is deleted

Everything. Your notes, tasks, events, habits, documents, conversations and the files you uploaded are destroyed. Your Google connection is revoked at Google, and any meeting recordings are deleted at the provider that holds them.

This cannot be undone, and disabling is not what happens here — the account and its data are removed, not switched off.

How long it takes

Your account is disabled the moment you confirm, and you are signed out everywhere. Removing the data usually finishes shortly afterwards; if one of the services Rio connected to is unavailable, it can take longer. We email you when it is done.
