What Muse does better
Doing things. Muse can book a restaurant, buy tickets, fill in a form and send an email, and it keeps working after you close the app. It connects to your email and calendar, so it knows what’s in your inbox. Rio can’t do any of that. If you want errands off your plate, pick Muse.
It is also backed by Meta, with apps for iPhone and Android and a way in through WhatsApp. Rio has no phone apps yet.
Where Rio is better
Holding the plan. Rio keeps your tasks, events, habits and notes on one day. You can see your whole week, tick things off, and ask Rio to move things around. Muse is built to act. Rio is built to hold the plan.
Rio also works where Muse doesn’t yet: any country, with no card to start.
The trust question
An agent that books and pays needs your accounts. Meta says each person’s Muse runs in its own private cloud computer, that Muse data isn’t shared with its ad systems, and that Muse asks before it sends an email or pays. Those are real protections. Still, it is two weeks old: reviewers have seen purchases fail, and Forbes reported security problems staff found in launch week. Separately, Meta uses chats with Meta AI (not Muse) to personalize ads in most countries.
Rio asks for less. It doesn’t touch your email or your money, and it doesn’t sell your data or use your content for ads. Rio is new too, so its track record is short.
Using both
They don’t connect to each other, but they don’t compete for the same job either. Let Muse handle the errand, and keep the plan in Rio.

Which one should you pick?
If you are in the US and the hard part of your week is errands, try Muse. If the hard part is keeping track of what you have to do and when, try Rio. If it’s both, use both.
